Dr. Koehler, PHD, MPH
Dr. Koehler graduated from Heidelberg University in 1998 and finished her PHD at the Gynecology Department of the associated med school in Mannheim.
During her medical studies she worked in different health systems and settings such as the Surgical Department of the University of Oxford, the Heart-Surgery Department of the Royal-Prince-Alfred Hospital in Sydney, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department of the Tongji University in Wuhan and the WHO Collaboration Centre in Nanjing, the Ophthalmology Unit of Heilbronn Municipal Hospital, and the Dermatology Unit at Amersham.
She started her Dermatology training as a postdoc with Dr. Howard Maibach at the University of California San Francisco and continued her training at the Dermatology Department of the University Heidelberg-Mannheim.
In her third year of Dermatology training she changed to the Dermatopathology Lab in Freiburg and from there continued to get an intensive Dermatopathology training with Dr. A. Bernard Ackerman at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York City. After that she worked at the Dermatology Unit of the University of Jena leading their Dermpath Lab before she changed to a Dermatology practice in Kempen where she finished her specialty training.
During her maternal break she picked up her MPH studies at the University of Düsseldorf and started to work as a Dermatology consultant in a busy Gynecology practice in Bruchsal and continued to broaden her knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University Witten-Herdecke.
In 2009, after returning from Norway, where she spent two years with her family during a sabattical, she started to work in Ratingen/Lintorf, building her Dermatology practice as you see it today.
Dr. Koehler is continuously broadening her knowledge in Dermatology, Allergology, Occupational Diseases and Naturopathic Medicine. During the pandemic she completed the curriculum of the Kneippaerztebund Deutschland in Bad Woerishofen.
